Role Description:

As a Senior Application Developer, you'll provide technical support and maintenance by applying knowledge of application functionality and related technical design/interfaces with other systems/applications. You will be responsible for running applications in a trouble-free manner, utilizing your knowledge of integrated development and test environments, tools, infrastructure, and managed support services to support complex solutions. Additionally, you'll develop a robust understanding of the solutions and their capabilities to design, build, and test new capabilities into existing applications and systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Canadian Federal Government Security Clearance - Secret.

8 years of expertise in Low-Level Programming and embedded Systems, including programming languages such as C/C++ and Python, bitwise operations, memory management, device drivers, and firmware development.

Experience in the Defense Industry.

Proficiency in networking and communications protocols,



as well as industrial and avionics protocols.

Experience in integration and interoperability, bridging old and recent technologies, and middleware development (API gateways, event brokers, service mesh, event mesh).

Ability to work with the Solution Architect to plan and execute required work by leading a team of developers and testers.

Initiative to make informed decisions regarding project direction, resource allocation, and timelines with limited supervision.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and quality control.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Experience contributing to the evaluation of solutions developed by fellow team members or third parties.

Experience in leading and mentoring junior developers in best practices and design patterns.
