Our client is a growing architecture and design practice with a strong reputation across Western Canada. Known for delivering innovative residential, mixed-use, commercial and community-focused projects, they have established long-standing relationships across the region. As part of their continued growth strategy, they are seeking an entrepreneurial Architect who can play a key role in expanding their client base and helping shape the future direction of the business in BC. *remote role, must be based in Victoria
Responsibilities:
- Drive business development initiatives and leverage an established network to generate new opportunities throughout the Victoria and Vancouver Island market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, builders, contractors, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
- Manage projects from concept design through construction administration, ensuring successful delivery and client satisfaction.
- Act as the primary architectural representative during construction, conducting site reviews, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and overseeing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration.
- Provide hands-on Construction Administration support for local projects, ensuring design intent, quality standards, budgets, and schedules are maintained throughout construction.
- Mentor and support architectural and technical staff virtually while collaborating with ownership on strategic growth and market expansion initiatives.
- Represent the firm within the industry and contribute to the long-term growth and success of the practice.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience within the BC market, including established relationships within the Victoria and Vancouver Island development community.
- Registered Architect with the AIBC, or eligible for registration.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated experience delivering multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, and community-focused projects.
- Proven business development and networking capabilities, with a track record of generating and securing new work.
- Strong relationships with developers, builders, contractors, consultants, municipalities, and other key industry stakeholders throughout the Victoria market.
- Extensive experience managing projects through construction administration, including site reviews, contract administration, field coordination, and consultant management.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, building systems, detailing, and British Columbia building codes.
The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $90,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience) commission, extended advantages & remote work environment.
