About the Role

Hy-Grade Millwork is looking for a skilled Custom Builder/Cabinetmaker to join our team producing high-quality architectural woodwork and custom cabinetry for residential and commercial projects. We welcome applicants at all experience levels — from apprentices looking to grow their skills to experienced journeymen ready to take on complex builds.

What You'll Do

- Build, assemble, and finish custom cabinetry and architectural millwork from shop drawings and specifications
- Fabricate countertops from plastic laminate and solid surface materials
- Build reception desks and other custom casework from shop drawings
- Construct wall panels and other complex architectural woodwork builds
- Operate woodworking machinery and tools safely and accurately (table saws, panel saws, edgebanders, etc.)
- Read and interpret blueprints, cut lists, and technical drawings
- Fit and install components with precision, ensuring tight tolerances and a high-quality finish
- Work collaboratively with the shop team to meet production schedules and quality standards




- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

What We're Looking For

- Experience in cabinetmaking, millwork, or a related woodworking trade is an asset — willingness to learn and strong attention to detail matter most
- Experience with plastic laminate and/or solid surface countertop fabrication is a plus
- Ability to read shop drawings and work to precise measurements
- Comfort operating standard shop machinery (training provided where needed)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first attitude
- Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
