The Automotive Damage Analyst is responsible for achieving the collision centre production and business goals.
Major areas of responsibility:
· To capture a comprehensive repair plan upfront, thereby minimizing supplements, avoiding delays in production and/or increases in repair costs.
· Support the health and safety of the workforce.
· Support an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes and appreciates quality, productivity, continuous improvement, goal attainment, employee recruitment, development and retention and high performance.
· Work alongside lead body technicians to prepare a detailed repair plan (blueprint, supplement) for each vehicle as it is dismantled.
· Ability and willingness to follow standardized production processes.
· Ensure that vehicles move through the repair process to meet target dates.
· Take photos of damage as required.
· Convert repair plans to estimating systems and upload them to the insurer.
· Negotiate with insurers a fair and profitable repair.
· Complete understanding of insurance companies’ policies and processes.
· Work with the Parts Department on the ordering and receiving of parts.
· Work with Body Shop Manager, Body & Mechanic Foreman, Paint & Prep Foreman.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3 years’ experience working as an Automotive Damage Analyst.
· Comprehensive understanding of the entire repair process including body, prep and paint processes.
· Working knowledge of management systems and estimating software: Mitchell and Audatex.
· Auto Body Collision and Damage Repairer Certification (310B). Not a major requirement, but nice to have.
· Ability to communicate and interact effectively with clients and co-workers.
