Gentle & Reliable Part-Time Babysitter Needed for Awesome 3-Year-Old

Compensation: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour (Depending on experience)

Overview We are looking for a reliable, calm, and flexible babysitter to help care for our amazing 3-year-old! He is smart, funny, caring, and an absolute joy to be around. However, he is not always a morning person—he likes a calm, quiet, slow start to his day.

Because of this, we are looking for a caregiver with a soft demeanor and a gentle, patient nature whom our son can look up to. If you are retired and just love to be around children this might be perfect for you and if you are younger and have a flexible schedule this might work perfectly for you too!

This role requires a mature, grounded presence and a deep respect for being in someone else's home. Because of the schedule, this position is ideal for someone with a highly flexible routine looking for steady part-time hours.

The Schedule

- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM (3 hours/day)
- Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (8 hours)
- Saturday & Sunday: On-call for 8-hour shifts (Requires flexibility, as you may not be needed every weekend, but we need someone available just in case).

Your Responsibilities

- Morning Routine (Mon-Thurs): Support his need for a calm, slow start to the morning by gently waking him up, getting him dressed calmly and help get ready for school, You will also make and feed him breakfast and then take him to school(Mileage covered at CRA rate).
- Light Housework: While he is getting ready or eating, we ask for help making his bed, tidying up his toys,



resetting the kitchen, and doing some light tidying. The ocasional recycling depot run may be required once a week.
- Fun Fridays: Pick him up/take over care at 2:00 PM, take him out to do something fun and engaging, and handle his bedtime routine.
- Weekend Care: Provide general supervision, playtime, and care during on-call weekend shifts.

- Soft & Calm Demeanor: We want a soothing, grounded presence to help our son ease into his mornings without feeling rushed, rather than someone who is highly energetic or hyperactive.
- Respectful & Professional: Must be highly respectful and mindful while working in our family's home.
- Punctual and Reliable: Arriving on time at 7:00 AM is critical to keeping his school mornings running smoothly.
- Proactive: Willing to jump in and help with the light tidying and kitchen reset without needing to be asked.
- Versatile: Willingness to be on-call for weekend shifts as our schedule shifts.
- Excellent References: Must be able to provide solid, verifiable references from previous childcare or professional experiences.
- Background Check: A clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check will be required prior to hiring.
