POSITION SUMMARY
Support Branch Operations by transforming the company’s data into meaningful and useful information for business purposes. Understand branch business data, processes, and systems to build analytics that support business strategy. This position reports to the General Manager , Aftermarket sales.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain reports and ad-hoc queries providing actionable information to personnel.
- Provide data analysis for requests from branch personnel, management, branch operations management, and corporate stakeholders.
- Develop performance dashboards to enable staff to accurately gauge results.
- Ensure data integrity and credibility by understanding business requirements, qualifying data, and reconciling results with financial reporting where appropriate.
- Collaborate with different teams to analyze functional requirements.
- Interpret results and communicate status reports and important findings to management and decision-makers.
- Communicate project expectations and status to team members and stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Test changes in business systems or reporting tools that could impact report quality and provide documented test results.
- Provide support to users of existing and new systems through training and documentation.
- Make decisions regarding systems’ security related to financial information and master data access.
- Monitor technological changes in the Company IT environment to achieve efficiencies and reporting from collected data.
- Provide technical support to Branch Operations and other departmental personnel as needed.
- Increase productivity by developing automated applications and coordinating information requirements.
- Assist in special financial and business-related studies and cooperate with other departments in preparing analyses.
- Provide input for programming changes requested from Branch Operations.
- Assist management with special projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOW HOW & EXPERIENCE
- 2-4 years of related experience. Two plus years of experience developing complex queries in SQL is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Occasional travel (0-5%) and overnight stays (0-5%).
- Experience with advanced visualization tools such as SSRS, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Keen understanding of business objectives and ability to recommend and implement analytics development.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Demonstrated ability to create executive-level information from complex data sets.
