Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet &

- Millwork Spray Painter to manage and operate our professional paint booth. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes, stains, primers, and lacquers to custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, and furniture components. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, deep knowledge of wood-finishing products, and takes pride in delivering a flawless, particle-free finish.

Core Responsibilities

- Booth Operation &
- Spraying:

Set up, calibrate, and operate skilled spray equipment to apply primers, conversion varnishes, lacquers, urethanes, and stains to wood and MDF components.

- Surface Preparation: Inspect, sand, wood-fill, and prep raw wood or primed pieces between coats to ensure optimal adhesion and a completely smooth final finish.

- Material Mixing: Accurately measure, thin, mix, and match paints, stains, and catalysts according to manufacturer specifications and batch requirements.

- Quality Control: Inspect finished pieces under proper lighting for runs, sags, dust inclusion, or uneven texture, correcting any imperfections promptly.

- Safety:

Perform daily cleaning and teardown of spray guns, pressure pots, and lines. Manage paint booth maintenance, including regular filter changes, and strictly adhere to health and safety regulations (wearing appropriate PPE/respirators).

Qualifications &

- Skills

- Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of professional experience spraying wood products, cabinetry, or millwork in a dedicated paint booth environment.

- Equipment Knowledge: Competent in using and maintaining automated or manual pneumatic spray systems.

- Material Expertise: Strong understanding of wood coatings (solvent-based and water-borne lacquers, pre-cat/post-cat urethanes, and wood stains).

- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs comfortably, and work efficiently while wearing a respirator.

- Detail-Oriented: A sharp eye for colour matching, sheen consistency, and surface defects.

Pay: $23.00-$31.00 per hour
