Child Care Centre Cleaner (Part-Time, Weekdays)

Schedule: Monday–Friday Shift Options:

- 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (3 hours)
- 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. (3 hours)

About the Role We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Cleaner to support the daily operations of our child care centre. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean and sanitize classrooms, washrooms, hallways, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
- Disinfect high‑touch surfaces and play areas
- Empty garbage and recycling bins
- Restock supplies as needed
- Follow centre cleaning protocols and health/safety standards
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Supervisor

Qualifications

- Experience in cleaning or custodial work (child care or school setting an asset)
- Ability to work independently and follow established routines




- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe workplace
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the role (lifting, bending, standing, etc.)
