We are seeking a reliable and skilled Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting intermodal trailers safely and efficiently within designated routes while ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up freight within local areas.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
- Assist with basic automotive repairs as needed to maintain vehicle performance.
Experience
- Clean Commercial and Personal driver's abstract. Minor violation may be allowed
- Minimum 3 years AZ or Class 1 commercial driving experience. We will require verification from previous insurance policy
- Experience with Intermodal CP/CN/Montreal Port terminals preferred
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
