Looking for a reliable part-time Cleaner. The workload generally takes about 4-6 hours and hours and fairly flexible. In this role, you will be responsible for performing custodial duties in a large commercial facility, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Must have transportation to and from work location in Richmond Hill.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including floors, restrooms, and common spaces - this includes mopping floors, cleaning toilets, urinals, and sinks, vacuuming all carpeted areas, cleaning tabletops, emptying garbages.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure effective sanitation and maintenance
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, garbage bags, and toilet paper to maintain hygiene standards
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Conduct routine inspections to identify areas needing attention or additional cleaning
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all cleaning tools are stored properly after use
Requirements
- Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required; training provided for the right candidate
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Positive communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures is a plus but not mandatory
