Job Overview

We are the Hampton Club Clubhouse, a strata-owned community facility located in Ladner that includes a fitness center, gym, outdoor pool, community room and other facilities. This facility provides recreation opportunities for over 400 families.

We are looking for employees to provide regular cleaning responsibilities, supervision of the pool and hot tub area, occasional testing of pool and spa water and to perform other duties as required. This job will vary depending on the season.

Duties & responsibilities:

Maturity, confidence and tact when dealing with difficult issues or conflict. Ability to communicate with Clubhouse members to ensure rules and procedures are followed in a clear manner.

Candidates should be outgoing and willing to interact with community members.

Some knowledge of work safe, building security.

Experience in janitorial/cleaning of public facilities.

Room cleaning of guest suites as needed.

Experience and knowledge of pool/spa equipment and chemical testing would be an asset but not a requirement.

First aid certification is an asset.

English required but other language skills an asset.

Criminal background check is done on all employees.

Hours: to be determined and may vary depending on the season but will be mostly evening and weekend hours..

Duties

- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas,



including floors, windows, restrooms, and common spaces
- Use appropriate cleaning tools and supplies to ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Maintain cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables to ensure continuous availability
- Follow health and safety protocols to create a safe environment for everyone
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Collaborate with team members to complete cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively

Skills

- Prior custodial or cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality
- Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in a rapid-paced environment
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and safety procedures is advantageous
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues promptly
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform cleaning duties throughout the shift

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 – 48.0 per week
