CLINICAL MANAGER (Hybrid)– MRI CLINIC
Location: Downtown Toronto, Ontario
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Reports To: Director of Operations / Clinic Owner

About the Clinic
We are a recent, state-of-the-art community MRI clinic opening in downtown Toronto, Ontario. Our clinic is being designed around three core principles: clinical excellence, exceptional patient care, and operational efficiency.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Clinical Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in launching and establishing the clinic.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced healthcare professional who enjoys building programs, developing teams, implementing best practices, and creating an outstanding patient experience from the ground up.
The hybrid Clinical Manager will have responsibility for the day-to-day clinical operations of the MRI service, including MRI technologists, patient care assistants, clerical support staff and clinical workflows. Working closely with the medical leadership and administrative team, the Clinical Manager will ensure that the clinic operates safely, efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with applicable Ontario legislation, standards, policies, and best practices.
Position Summary The Clinical Manager will provide clinical leadership, operational oversight, staff supervision, technical expertise, quality management, perform imaging studies and patient-care leadership for the MRI clinic.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining clinical policies and procedures, recruiting and onboarding clinical staff, developing staff schedules, monitoring quality and safety indicators, supporting MRI technologists in complex clinical situations, performing imaging studies and ensuring a consistently high standard of patient-centred care.
As this is a new clinic, the successful candidate will be actively involved in the pre-opening and implementation phase, including workflow development, equipment readiness,
policy development, staff training, emergency preparedness, quality assurance, and operational readiness. The candidate will provide two separate forms of value to the clinic by an allocation of time for leadership and performing MRI examinations.
The ideal candidate is a confident clinical leader who is comfortable working independently, solving problems, coaching staff, providing technical expertise and building systems in a new healthcare environment.

Qualifications
Required
- Current registration in good standing with the applicable Ontario regulatory college.
- Degree or diploma in Medical Radiation Sciences, Radiological Technology, Nursing, or another relevant healthcare discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience, preferably within diagnostic imaging or MRI.
- Minimum 2–3 years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in an MRI or diagnostic imaging environment.
- Strong understanding of MRI safety and clinical workflows.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient safety and quality improvement principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical and operational decisions.
- Strong computer literacy and experience with electronic healthcare information systems.
Preferred
- MRI certification/advanced MRI training.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related discipline.
- Graduate certificate or education in healthcare leadership/management.
- Experience launching or opening a new healthcare clinic or diagnostic imaging service.
- Experience with RIS/PACS/EMR implementation.
- Experience developing policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
- Experience with quality improvement, accreditation, or healthcare compliance.
- Experience with private healthcare/diagnostic imaging operations.
Compensation & Benefits
Final compensation and benefits package will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and the overall responsibilities of the successful candidate. Division of clinical vs management hours to be defined and agreed to at hire and to be evaluated on an annual base.
