The anticipated hourly rate for this position ranges from $21/hour to $26/hour, with final compensation based on the candidate’s completed co-op work terms.
Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting co-op opportunity for a Lexus Product Planning Co-op. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic setting with a collaborative and engaged team. Our renewed emphasis on ‘Fun to Drive’ product design is transforming our brand, bringing with it a fast-paced change environment. This is an eight-month co-op term residing at our Scarborough office and will follow a hybrid working policy.

Program Initiatives

What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist the planning for Lexus vehicles sold in the Canadian automotive market
- Communicate vehicle content/pricing change information related to new vehicle launches
- Provide assistance for comprehensive vehicle content/strategy presentations and present across multiple audiences at key vehicle milestones, to create awareness, excitement and alignment within TCI
- Input/manage vehicle specifications, customer facing descriptions,
pricing information within the system database
- Assist internal groups with product/price review related to: press releases, marketing brochures, website content, video/image asset production, dealership selling tools
- Help with market/consumer research, data evaluation and competitor evaluations
- Experience a wide range of vehicles for product evaluation (Lexus/Competitor)
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure proper record of workflow
- Learn product strategy and the process for establishing Lexus product for the Canadian market
- Learn product/pricing communications strategy, along with the unique needs of your stakeholders (Marketing, PR, dealership sales consultants, etc)
- Gain exposure to the changing climate within the Canadian and global automotive industry (Connectivity, Autonomous, Safety, Electrification)
What You’ll Bring:
- Currently enrolled in a college/university co-op program for Retail Management, Marketing, Business or related discipline
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong oral and verbal communication
- Strong planning and organization techniques
- Strong analytical, research and report writing skills
- Knowledge of automotive industry is an asset
- Teamwork experience through school, extra-curricular activities or in past work assignments
