The Communication Coordinator is a member of Health Standards Organization's Enterprise Communications team and serves as the primary communications support for Accreditation Canada Diagnostics, the Institute for Quality Management in Healthcare (IQMH), and the Integrated Community Health Services Centres (ICHSC).

The Communication Coordinator coordinates and delivers communications activities that support unique programs, services, educational offerings, and strategic initiatives across our clients in Diagnostics, IQMH, EQI, and ICHSC. The role includes content development, copyediting, digital communications, website management, social media copy creation, newsletter production, and education and event coordination.

The successful candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines. They have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with technical content related to health care, medical laboratories, accreditation, quality improvement, or related scientific fields. They are able to translate complex information into clear, accurate, and engaging communications for a range of audiences.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement communications plans and campaigns that promote programs, services, webinars and virtual learning initiatives, and educational offerings.

Manage multiple communications and education projects at various stages of development.

Work closely with subject matter experts and internal teams to write, edit, proofread, and copyedit content for email campaigns, presentations, reports, and promotional materials.

Apply Accreditation Canada brand standards, Canadian Press style, and scientific style guidelines when developing and editing content.





Coordinate and publish client-facing newsletters, including content planning, story development, editing, layout, distribution, and reporting.

Develop copy for social media channels and support digital marketing activities.

Manage and maintain website content, keeping information current, accurate, and accessible.

Format and prepare documents and publications using Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign.

Coordinate timelines, deliverables, approvals, and project activities across several business units.

Monitor project progress and identify opportunities to improve communications processes and outcomes. MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS Diploma or degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field.

Minimum two years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related role.

Demonstrated experience writing, editing, and copyediting technical content within health care, medical laboratory, scientific, or related fields.

Working knowledge of digital communications and marketing tools, including email marketing and social media platforms.

Experience using content management systems such as DotNetNuke and applications such as Mailchimp and Microsoft Office.

Advanced expertise with document design, formatting, and publication using Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign.

Solid organizational, planning, and interest holder relationship management skills. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of health care accreditation, quality improvement, health care standards, diagnostics, laboratory medicine, proficiency testing, or related scientific disciplines.

Experience working in health care, medical laboratories, life sciences, public health, or other regulated environments.

Experience coordinating events, educational programs, webinars, training sessions, or similar initiatives.

Knowledge of SEO, analytics, and digital marketing best practices.

Experience in customer service or client relationship management.

Experience and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
