We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook / Kitchen Chef to lead daily meal preparation and kitchen operations for our community of residents. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality, balanced meals, maintaining strict hygiene standards, and overseeing food inventory and supplier orders.

Key Responsibilities

- Meal Preparation & Cooking:
- Prepare and cook complete daily meals (breakfast/brunch, lunch, and dinner), including mains, sides, soups, salads, and desserts for up to 110 residents.
- Ensure food is prepared and served on time, adhering to quality and portion standards.
- Accommodate specific dietary restrictions, allergies, and resident preferences as required.
- Ordering & Inventory Management:
- Monitor food, dry goods, and kitchen supply levels.
- Place regular orders with suppliers, track deliveries, and inspect incoming orders for quality and freshness.
- Properly store and rotate stock (FIFO method) to minimize waste and ensure cost control.
- Sanitation & Kitchen Operations:
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, food safety,



and sanitation.
- Safely operate and clean commercial kitchen equipment and prep stations.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen aides and service staff to ensure smooth service during meal times.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Proven experience as a cook or chef in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or institutional/residential setting.
- Ordering Skills: Familiarity with inventory tracking and placing food/beverage orders.
- Organization & Time Management: Ability to plan prep schedules, prioritize tasks, and handle peak meal hours calmly and efficiently.
- Physical Demands: Valuable stamina and physical strength, including the ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies (eg, up to 40–50 lbs).
- Teamwork: Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative team-player mindset.

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
