SCOPE

Reporting to the Manager, Quebec Student Recruitment, the incumbent coordinates a portfolio of francophone recruitment initiatives, including campus tours, information sessions, school visits, recruitment events, virtual programming, and prospective student advising. They work in collaboration with the faculties for the planning and delivery of francophone program-specific recruitment initiatives. The incumbent develops annual activity plans, coordinates logistics, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and represents the University at recruitment activities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Active involvement in the development, planning, and delivery of francophone student recruitment initiatives, including campus tours, information sessions, school visits, education fairs, virtual initiatives, and special events.
- Raise the University’s profile by participating in off-campus recruitment activities in Quebec.
- Liaise closely with the faculties to assist with the development, planning, and delivery of program or faculty-specific initiatives for francophone audiences.
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain promotional materials/content to support French-language recruitment initiatives via social media and other digital platforms that engages prospective students, promotes the University experience, and supports undergraduate recruitment objectives within established branding and recruitment strategies.
- Provide information to prospective students in-person and via phone, email, social media, and other digital platforms. Prepare and deliver presentations to small and large groups.




- Meet with prospective students and their supporters in the Welcome Centre to provide general admissions information and offer assistance in interpreting policies.
- Collaborate with current students on francophone student recruitment initiatives.
- Collaborate with Espace Franco and other campus partners to ensure francophone recruitment initiatives and communications reflect the needs, interests, and experiences of francophone students.
- Collaborate with the Enrolment Services Marketing and Student Communications Team to provide suggestions on communications content for print, email and web for francophone audiences.
- Assist with tasks related to other recruitment portfolios and prospective student groups, in support of the university’s enrolment objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or in a relevant field and two to four years of work experience in student recruitment, events and outreach.
- Very good knowledge (Level 5) of spoken and written French and valuable knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written English in order to inform and advise students and to communicate effectively with internal and external clients and to assist in the development of promotional material.
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and good knowledge (intermediate level) of PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal, relation-building, and communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, faculty, and external contacts.
- Must have professional presentation skills and be comfortable presenting to large groups.
- Demonstrated experience in event planning.
- Aptitude to work in a service-oriented environment as both a member of a team and independently.
- Outgoing personality who thrives on working with the public.
- Ability to work under pressure, to prioritize work, and to meet deadlines.
- Experience working with francophone students or youth in an education, community, or customer service environment is an asset.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and demonstrated ability and confidence to drive independently throughout Quebec.
- Required to travel within Quebec and to work flexible hours.
- Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
- Familiarity with educational systems as well as knowledge of undergraduate admissions requirements and academic regulations policies and procedures is an asset.
- Familiarity with the Student Information System (SIS) is an asset.
- Approachability (is sensitive and patient with others)



and composure (is a calming influence in a difficult situation) are desirable qualities.
