About Us

Troy Electric Sales and Service Ltd. is an electro-mechanical company that has been servicing Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland for 53 years and counting. Originally established as an electric motor rewind shop capable of repairing motors from fractional horsepower to over 1,000 HP, we have expanded into a broad range of electrical and mechanical services. These include marine electrical systems, pump specialist repairs and installations, HVAC electrical work, welding equipment repair, commercial and industrial electrical contracting, and VFD service and installation.

Your Responsibilities

Procurement

- Prepare and process purchase orders through our business management system in accordance with company procedures
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Communicate with vendors regarding follow ups, pricing, availability, delivery timelines, and discrepancies

Inventory Management

- Monitor stock levels and recommend reorders to maintain optimal inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular updates and business management system entries
- Organize and label inventory for efficient storage and retrieval
- Become the only point of contact to retrieve inventory for both technicians and customers
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop and warehouse environment
- Operate forklifts and hand trucks safely

Sales & Customer Service

- Process customer orders, inquiries,



payments and returns in accordance with company procedures
- Create Orders and Quotes to assist the sales and service team
- Monitor and delegate company email inquiries
- Communicate with customers to identify their needs and provide technical solutions using our products and services
- Maintain positive relationships with customers through clear and courteous in-person, phone and email communication

General

- Always follow workplace safety policies and procedures
- Collaborate with team members to follow and improve workflow efficiency and processes
- Additional tasks assigned by Management from time to time

Your Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years experience in a related position
- Experience with Business Management software
- Experience with inventory management and procurement
- Possesses an innate ability to organize, prioritize tasks, and maintain order in fast-paced environments
- Robust computer and technical skills required
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, and teamwork qualities
- Flexibility to be cross trained and balance tasks
- Ability to perform the required physical demands of the job
- Familiarity with the electro-mechanical or electrical trade industry an asset
