Join the team at Kunuwanimano Child and Family Services as a Children’s Services Worker, specializing in culturally relevant support for First Nations families. Provide compassionate counseling and intervention services. This role requires you to build solid bonds with children and families, adhering to the principles and policies of the agency.
You will handle cases involving welfare concerns and work in collaboration with Family Services Workers, ensuring holistic care meets all the children’s needs. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve First Nations children with respect and equity
- Build relationships with First Nations agencies and councils
- Report any abuse suspicions immediately to supervisors
- Craft and oversee treatment plans tailored for children
- Facilitate family access visits and customary care solutions Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or related education
- At least two years’ experience in a relevant field
- Valid “G” driver's license required
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Ability to speak an Indigenous language is a plus Use your skills in social work to make a positive impact in the lives of First Nations children and families with Kunuwanimano.
