Title: Data Scientist – Fraud Detection & Machine Learning

Duration: 12 months contract

Work Model: Hybrid (4 days onsite)

Introduction

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on professional to support a fraud detection and machine learning initiative. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing production-grade data science models, with a strong focus on identifying fraudulent activity and anomalous patterns.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 5 years of hands-on Data Science / Machine Learning experience, ideally working with production-grade models.
- Strong real-world fraud detection modeling experience; candidates should have personally built or significantly contributed to fraud/risk/anomaly detection models.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong, practical experience with Vertex AI – mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience building MLflow pipelines from scratch,



rather than only consuming or supporting an existing workplace.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in financial services, banking, payments, insurance, or other environments involving fraud/risk detection.
- Experience working with large-scale transactional or behavioral datasets.
- Experience with BigQuery and other GCP data services.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Design, develop, train, test, and optimize machine learning models for fraud detection and anomaly identification.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify suspicious behaviors, patterns, trends, and potential fraud indicators.
- Build and maintain scalable end-to-end ML/MLOps pipelines.
