Location: London, Ontario, Canada (Relocation Required) The Design &
Certification Project Coordinator reports to the Manager, Airworthiness, and is responsible for supporting project management and change control activities associated with changes to Diamond’s existing aircraft, and the development of new aeronautical products.
Main Activities: Support the Change Control Lead in all matters
Manage all inputs into Change Control (email, messages, phone calls)
Identify priority inputs and coordinate with appropriate technical staff within all Diamond organizations
Interpret and assign incoming change requests to the appropriate technical specialty
Update change requests following classification at triage meetings
Close change requests once change has been implemented or otherwise resolved by engineering
Assign project numbers for active projects as requested by engineering
Create file-based directories for all recent active projects
Support the ongoing audit and migration of design data as required
Manage the electronic signature processes and review all signed engineering documents for completeness
Ensure the correct naming, storage, and release of all signed engineering documentation
Coordinate the distribution of released engineering data as necessary to all Diamond organizations
Assign/confirm drawing numbers as required (standards, part, assembly, installation)
Assign document numbers as required (certification & engineering analysis, plans, and reports)
Track and record the state of all change requests, engineering projects, and type design projects
Track and record the state of all project deliverables as they move through the certification process
Maintain all change control, project management tools, and provide regular reports to management
Develop and document change control and project management procedures as required
Host and administer coordination meetings with internal staff, external partners, and authorities as required
Coordinate with engineering staff in the development and tracking of project plans

Experience: Highly detail oriented
Proficient in Excel (tables, pivot tables, data, charts, power queries, macros)
Skilled in MS File Explorer (file-based directories, metadata, Windows operating commands)
Proficient in using MS Outlook (organize large number of emails, send accurate emails to large groups)
Experienced with MS Word (templates, style formatting, content controls, document properties)
Capable of accurately interpreting technical data (engineering drawings & specifications)
Ability to multitask and stay organized while working on many tasks at once Assets: Previous experience within the aviation industry
Prior experience with structured document numbering systems
Familiarity with CAD systems (CATIA preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical) Academic Requirements: Technical College Diploma
