Role: Dispatcher – Trucking & Transportation

Ab out the Role

We are looking for an experienced Trucking Dispatcher to manage daily truck operations, book freight, coordinate drivers, and work with brokers and customers.

The ideal candidate has strong trucking industry contacts , particularly with freight brokers and direct customers/shippers , and can help secure profitable loads and new business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Dispatch trucks, assign loads, and plan routes.
- Source, negotiate, and book freight through brokers and customers.
- Maintain relationships with brokers, shippers, carriers, and customers.
- Identify new freight and business opportunities.
- Coordinate and communicate with drivers throughout the day.
- Track shipments and resolve delays, breakdowns, and other issues.




- Negotiate rates and maximize truck utilization/profitability.
- Maintain dispatch/load documentation and support invoicing.
- Ensure transportation and safety compliance.

R equirements

- 2–3 years of trucking/freight dispatch experience.
- Strong knowledge of trucking and freight operations.
- Experience with load boards, freight booking, and rate negotiation .
- Established broker and/or direct customer relationships .
- Experience dispatching multiple trucks.
- Solid communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with dispatch/TMS/tracking systems.
- Knowledge of Canadian trucking regulations is an asset.
