Duties
- Safely operate various types of vehicles, including passenger vans, buses, or delivery trucks, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport clients, children, seniors, or goods to designated locations punctually and securely
- Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and any special needs accommodations with kindness and professionalism
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, or care teams to coordinate schedules and address any concerns during transit
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing questions or requests politely
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children or seniors in a caregiving or transportation capacity is preferred
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated; clean driving record required
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Multilingual skills in Spanish and English to effectively communicate with diverse clients and team members
- Strong communication skills for clear reporting and customer interaction
- Experience in commercial driving or related fields is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude
- Ability to follow detailed routes and schedules accurately while maintaining safety standards
