Qualifications and Responsibilities
-Helping to foster an atmosphere and environment of pride, respect,
and trust.
-Assisting with the preservation of traditional knowledge and oral tradition.
-Assisting classroom teachers with First Nations and Metis knowledge,
language, and traditional skills.
-Teaching traditional and cultural skills such as trapping, fishing,
beading, storytelling, and smudging.
-Teaching cultural life skills to promote mastery, generosity,
independence, and belonging.
-Meeting with at-risk youths.
-Assisting with parent support groups.
