We’re looking for an experienced Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, or Mechanical Repair Technician to join our Abbotsford shop.
If you’re the kind of person who enjoys taking equipment apart, figuring out what went wrong, fixing it properly, and putting it back together — this could be a great fit.
Our shop specializes in the repair and servicing of electric motors, pumps, and related industrial equipment. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys mechanical troubleshooting and wants to work primarily in one shop, rather than spending their days travelling from job site to job site.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, disassemble, repair, and rebuild electric motors and pumps
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Inspect bearings, seals, shafts, housings, impellers, and other components
- Perform mechanical repairs, fitting, alignment, and assembly
- Use hand and power tools, measuring equipment, and shop machinery
- Test repaired equipment and identify any further issues
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Work with the team to get customer equipment repaired correctly and on schedule
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, or similar trade
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working with rotating equipment, pumps, motors, bearings, shafts, and related components
- Ability to read drawings and use precision measuring tools
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and take pride in quality workmanship
- Electrical experience is an asset, but solid mechanical experience is the priority
Why Work With Us?
- Shop-based position — work primarily in one location
- Monday–Friday daytime schedule
- Variety of interesting industrial equipment to work on
- Hands-on mechanical work — not repetitive production-line work
- Opportunity to build specialized experience in motor and pump repair
- Stable, long-term employment with a local company
- Competitive wages based on experience and skill
Who This Job Might Suit This could be a particularly good fit for a millwright or industrial mechanic who enjoys the trade but is tired of constant shutdowns, construction sites, travel, or working away from home.
If you like diagnosing mechanical problems, rebuilding equipment, and seeing a repair through from start to finish, we’d like to hear from you.
Apply today with your resume and a brief description of your mechanical experience.
Pay: $25.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
Benefits
- Casual dress
