Status: Full time, permanent (new)

Location: Based at one of Canadian offices (Ottawa, ON; Toronto, ON; Montreal, QC)

Travel: International travel as required

Annual Salary: CAD $ 72,215

The opportunity

Become a management consultant in the infrastructure sector and have an immediate impact. As an entry-level consultant, you’ll support the delivery of local, national and international projects while helping with business development activities.

Our Young Professionals Program (YPP) is managed by our Growth and Operations (GO) team, which supports the development entry-level consultants. You’ll be given a variety of assignments to gain exposure to different areas of our business.

You’ll focus on projects and business development within our team serving French-speaking countries in Africa, particularly focusing on projects in the transportation and power sector, while also benefitting from experience working across CPCS’s markets and sectors.

Your responsibilities

You’ll contribute to different stages of a project lifecycle for public and private clients under the leadership of GO’s Vice President:

- Support business development, including preparation of proposals




- Carry out sectoral analyses using quantitative data and qualitative reviews of international best practices
- Assist with project management and implementation
- Support adaptation of analyses into recommendations
- Liaise with project teams, partner firms and clients
- Build relationships across CPCS and learn from colleagues.

What you bring to the team

- Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, business law, geography or other relevant specializations, ideally with a focus on the transport or energy sectors
- 1-3 years of experience in consulting, industry, research, or in public sector in an area related to infrastructure development
- Experience or interest in infrastructure sector consulting, research, and international markets
- Experience or interest in learning about infrastructure sector challenges in African markets
- Leadership experience acquired through school, work or community involvement
- Ability to speak and write fluently in English and in French is required. Additional languages would be an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Legal right to work in Canada (sponsorship is not provided for this role)
