Richmond Hill

Our furniture division operates multiple showroom and warehouse spaces and offers a wide selection of quality Canadian-made furniture, including living room, dining room, bedroom and home furnishings.

We work with leading furniture manufacturers and serve customers throughout the Greater Toronto Area. In addition to retail, our business works on commercial projects, interior design, custom furniture, logistics and white-glove delivery.

As a growing small business, our environment is fast-paced, entrepreneurial and hands-on. Team members often work across different areas of the business and are encouraged to take ownership, solve problems and help wherever needed.

The Position

We are looking for a highly organized, dependable and proactive Executive & Administrative Assistant to work closely with our Director and management team.

This is not a position where every day will look exactly the same.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being organized, following up, solving problems and making sure things get done. You should be comfortable handling both important business matters and smaller day-to-day tasks.

The right person will have an “I’ll take care of it” mindset rather than waiting to be told every step.

Your responsibilities may include

- Assisting the Director with day-to-day tasks and priorities
- Managing calendars, appointments, reminders and follow-ups
- Keeping track of outstanding tasks and deadlines
- Following up with suppliers, customers, employees and business contacts

- Researching products, suppliers, services or other information
- Assisting with special projects
- Completing occasional errands or management-related tasks
- Identifying outstanding items and proactively following up without having to be reminded
- Helping wherever required during busy periods

Because we are a growing small business, flexibility is an important part of this position. Some days may involve administrative work, while others may involve helping resolve an urgent customer issue, preparing a report, contacting a supplier or assisting management with a new project. - Comfortable working directly with management
- Able to handle confidential business information professionally
- Flexible and willing to assist outside of a strictly defined
- Calm and effective in a fast-paced environment
