We are looking for experienced and dependable semi-truck drivers to haul 53ft flatbed trailers. The ideal candidate will have experience with flatbed hauling, proper load securement, and port access credentials. This position requires a strong work ethic, adherence to safety regulations, and regular communication with dispatch and team members. A two-week training period with a qualified driver will be provided for onboarding and familiarization.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a semi-truck with a 53ft flatbed trailer for local and long-haul deliveries.
- Ensure proper load securement using chains, straps, and tarps as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and compliance.
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company policies regarding safety and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, trip records, and delivery documentation.
- Regularly communicate with dispatch to coordinate schedules, load details, and delivery updates.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Work professionally with customers and team members to ensure effective operations.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 / Air Brakes with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 4 years of experience driving a semi-truck with a flatbed.
- Port pass required (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience with load securement procedures (chains, straps, and tarps).
- Ability to complete a two-week training program with a trainer.
- Strong communication skills and ability to stay in regular contact with dispatch.
- Compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Ability to lift and secure loads manually as needed.
