ClearSafe Abatement is expanding and looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented High‑Risk Asbestos Technician to join our team. You will work on asbestos, lead, and other hazardous materials projects, ensuring safe removal, containment, and compliance with provincial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform asbestos and hazardous materials abatement in high‑risk environments
- Set up containment, negative air systems, and decontamination units
- Conduct safe removal, bagging, and disposal of ACMs
- Follow site‑specific secure‑work procedures and regulatory requirements
- Complete daily documentation, hazard assessments, and close‑out reports
- Communicate with supervisors and clients as needed
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper PPE use at all times
Required Experience & Certifications
- Valid Asbestos Worker Certification (Alberta)
- Experience in high‑risk abatement environments
- Knowledge of containment setup, air monitoring,
and safe removal procedures
- WHMIS, First Aid, and other safety tickets (asset)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined or restricted spaces
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Assets
- Supervisor‑level certifications
- Experience with lead, mold, or other hazardous materials
- Ability to read scopes, drawings, and reports
