- Up to 15 hours per week. You are required to be available to work three shifts over three days per week. Of these three shifts, one must be a weekend shift and one must be an evening shift. Routine shifts are as follows: Sunday through Friday, afternoons 2pm to 5pm and evenings 6pm to 9pm. Saturday, mornings 10am to 1pm and afternoons 2pm to 5pm. Work shifts will be assigned by management based on the availability of work and shifts may be subject to change.

Purpose:
The Telephone Interviewer is responsible for collecting information for various research projects.
Education:
Must be enrolled as a York student.
Experience:
Related experience with telemarketing or other telephone-oriented work.
Skills:
- Ability to demonstrate a friendly, pleasant and professional telephone manner.2. Strong interpersonal skills, including discretion, tact and diplomacy.3. Excellent verbal and written English language skills, a explicit and confident speaking voice. 4. Ability to secure and maintain cooperation of respondents contacted by telephone. 5. Ability to record responses and other data accurately.6. Ability to follow instructions and implement interviewing guidelines.7. Demonstrates judgment in problem recognition and request for supervisor's assistance.8. Ability to maintain confidentiality.9. Accurate typing speed of at least 30 w.p.m.
and some familiarity with computers.
