Job Overview
Aventyr Security Corp. is seeking a reliable, organized, and technically capable Technical Service & Operations Coordinator to support the day-to-day operation of our security service department.
This position is approximately 80% office/administrative and technical coordination work and 20% in office field work.
The primary responsibilities include managing service requests, coordinating technician schedules, updating CRM and service tickets, communicating with customers and site personnel, maintaining service documentation, assisting with remote troubleshooting, tracking equipment and outstanding work, and supporting ongoing security projects.
The successful candidate should be comfortable working with computers and technology, managing multiple service requests, communicating professionally with customers and technicians, and occasionally attending sites to assist with CCTV, networking, and security-system work.
Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative & Technical Coordination – Approximately 80%
- Receive, review, prioritize, and manage incoming service requests and technical support tickets.
- Create, update, assign, and close service tickets using the company's CRM and ticketing/work-order system.
- Coordinate and schedule technicians for service calls, installations, preventative maintenance, and site visits.
- Communicate appointment dates, technician arrival times, project updates, and service status with customers and site contacts.
- Monitor open service tickets and follow up with technicians, customers, vendors, and contractors to ensure outstanding issues are resolved.
- Maintain accurate customer, site, equipment, and service information within company systems.
- Review technician service reports, site photos, notes, and completed work before closing service tickets.
- Assist technicians with technical information, site history, equipment details, network information, and troubleshooting while they are in the field.
- Perform basic remote troubleshooting of CCTV cameras, network devices, NVRs, monitoring systems, and other security equipment.
- Monitor security-system status and identify equipment or devices that may require service.
- Coordinate equipment replacements, repairs, warranty requests, and required follow-up visits.
- Maintain organized documentation for installations, service calls, equipment,
network information, and customer sites.
- Assist with preparing scopes of work, equipment lists, service documentation, and project information.
- Coordinate with customers, construction personnel, IT departments, vendors, monitoring stations, and internal team members.
- Track equipment, materials, and parts required for upcoming service calls and installations.
- Assist with ordering and coordinating delivery of equipment and materials when required.
- Maintain records of equipment installed or assigned to customer sites.
- Assist with onboarding and configuration of cameras, monitoring platforms, user accounts, and other security systems.
- Follow up on system outages, offline equipment, outstanding repairs, and unresolved customer concerns.
- Help ensure technicians have the correct equipment, site information, access details, and scope of work before attending a site.
- Prepare internal updates and reports regarding service activities, outstanding issues, installations, and project progress.
- Support continuous improvement of service procedures, documentation, CRM workflows, and internal processes.
- Participate in technical, product, software, and safety training provided by the company.
Field & In office Support – Approximately 20%
- Attend commercial and construction sites when required to assist with technical service, troubleshooting, installation, or system configuration.
- Assist with installing, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting CCTV and security camera systems.
- Perform basic network and IP configuration for cameras and related security equipment.
- Assist with mounting or replacing cameras, network equipment, NVR/DVR equipment, and related security hardware.
- Run, terminate, label, and test Cat5e/Cat6 or other low-voltage cabling when required.
- Diagnose basic camera, cabling, network, power, and connectivity issues.
- Perform equipment replacements and minor repairs.
- Test completed work to verify systems are operating correctly.
- Take site photographs and document equipment, installation conditions, and completed work.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, construction personnel, and site supervisors while on site.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety requirements.
Requirements
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to customer sites when required.
- Own reliable vehicle for occasional travel to commercial and construction sites.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional customer-service and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable communicating with customers by phone,
email, and in person.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software systems.
- Comfortable using CRM platforms, ticketing systems, work-order software, Microsoft Office, email, smartphones, and web-based applications.
- Good technical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple service requests, appointments, and priorities at the same time.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with technicians and management.
- Strong attention to detail when documenting service work and maintaining customer records.
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and responsible.
- Ability to perform occasional physical field work, including carrying equipment, using ladders, pulling cable, and working in commercial or construction environments.
- Willingness to learn CCTV, networking, access control, monitoring, and other security technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience or knowledge in any of the following areas is considered an asset:
