The Accountant will perform a variety of accounting duties for OSI Maritime Systems (Canada) Ltd. and its subsidiaries

- OSI Maritime Systems Ltd., OSI Maritime Systems Inc., OSI Maritime Systems (UK) Ltd. and OSI Maritime Systems (Australia) Ltd through the reconciliation of accounts; maintenance of financial records and completion of special accounting projects as needed.

What You'll Do Assists with entries, reviews, posts, schedules and reports as appropriate for the division: Financial Accounting &

- Reconciliations: Maintains and reconciles key balance sheet schedules, bank accounts, operating loans, AP/AR, tax, accruals, and other general ledger accounts; investigates and resolves variances.

Accounts Payable &

- Receivable: Reviews and processes AP payment batches, prepares cash receipts, initiates AP and payroll bank payments, and communicates customer payments to relevant stakeholders.

Statutory &

- Tax Compliance: Reviews and submits monthly and quarterly GST/HST, PST, QST, and VAT remittances.

Journal Entries &

- Month-End Close: Prepares and posts monthly accounting entries, including amortization, depreciation, accruals, project-related costs, and payroll.

Payroll: Prepares global payroll entries, payments, and supporting documentation.

Financial Reporting: Assists with monthly financial reporting and prepares monthly and annual working papers and supporting documentation for auditors.

Cash Flow &

- Treasury Support:



Post bank entries, credit card, renewal, and subscription information used in cash flow forecasting and maintains multi-currency rates in Epicor.

Procurement &

- Inventory Support: Reviews purchase order coding for accuracy and participates in annual inventory counts and related system entries.

Special Projects: Supports other accounting, finance, and special projects as required.

A Professional accountant requires to exercise logical and factual judgment based on GAAP, regulatory compliance and corporate policy adherence in matters related to: Resolving complex accounting issues

Evaluation of Tax, legal and financial risks

Use of vital corporate information What You'll Bring A Post-secondary degree with courses in Accounting; typically requires working towards professional accounting designation 3-5 years’ experience in the duties as described in ‘Main Responsibilities’ Depth knowledge of general accounting theory and practices, computerized accounting systems, accounts payable and receivable and internal management reporting

- Solid organization, time management and prioritization skills
- High level of accuracy; ability to meet deadlines;

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Advance Excel and computer skills
- Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
