Groupe Marcelle is currently seeking a Financial Analyst, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, for a permanent, full-time position. Reporting to the Financial Controller, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, the Financial Analyst devotes approximately 80% of their time to daily and month-end costing activities and 20% to general accounting duties, performed primarily at month-end. The incumbent ensures the integrity and accuracy of costs, analyzes production and inventory data, makes the necessary corrections in collaboration with the relevant teams, and prepares the journal entries, reconciliations, reports, and analyses required to ensure reliable financial information.

Costing — approximately 80% of the role Monitor established integrity controls daily to ensure cost accuracy
Process requests to add or modify costs and analyze requests to change storage types
Analyze product bills of materials (BOMs), identify discrepancies, and make the required corrections or follow up with the appropriate teams
Collaborate with various teams based on the nature of the corrections required
Conduct ad hoc analyses and perform other costing-related duties
At the end of each month, prepare reports and journal entries related to inventory, agency fees, delivery costs, work in progress (WIP), and cost variances General accounting — approximately 20% of the role As part of the month-end close, record prepaid expense entries, perform bank reconciliations in Canadian dollars and foreign currencies, and update various tracking files
Prepare financial performance reports for various departments Annual cycles Actively participate in the annual standard cost review and update process from September to January
Actively participate in preparing the annual audit file in April WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE A bachelor’s degree in accounting A CPA designation, considered an asset
Three to five years of experience in a similar role, including experience in a manufacturing environment
Solid knowledge of accounting standards and costing
Experience with an ERP system; knowledge of JDE is considered an asset
Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite AND IF YOU ARE A strong analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
Organized and resourceful, with initiative and the ability to work independently
