- nstall fire sprinkler pipes and sprinkler heads in buildings.
- Read drawings to understand where pipes and sprinklers need to be installed.
- Measure and cut pipes to the required size.
- Connect pipes together using fittings, couplings, or threads.
- Install valves, hangers, brackets, and other sprinkler system parts.
- Connect the sprinkler system to the building's water supply.
- Test the sprinkler system to make sure there are no leaks and that it works properly.
- Repair or replace damaged pipes, sprinkler heads, valves, and other parts.
- Check existing sprinkler systems and perform regular maintenance.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lifts to complete the work.
- Work with other trades and supervisors to complete projects.
- Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Report any problems with the sprinkler system to the supervisor.
- Help load, unload, and move pipes, tools, and equipment at job sites.
