We are looking for enthusiastic French speakers to lead interactive in-person language classes for individual students and small groups. Candidates must reside in Kitchener, Waterloo, or Cambridge and be able to teach lessons at our school located at 50 Ottawa St South, Kitchener.

Role Responsibilities

- Deliver personalized French instruction tailored to various learning styles and goals.
- Maintain complete attendance and commitment for the entire term of each assigned class.
- Foster an encouraging, active learning atmosphere for students of different skill levels.
- Design meaningful homework assignments to reinforce lesson material.
- Provide routine progress updates to learners and parents, including short weekly reports.
- Guide students through preparation for standard French proficiency exams as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Advanced proficiency in French with solid English communication skills.
- Valid authorization to work in Canada.
- Current residency in Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph or Cambridge
- Ability to travel locally to our school at 50 Ottawa St South (free parking, LRT stop and bus stop on site)
- Previous background in language instruction, tutoring, or education is preferred.

Position Details

- Job Type: Part-time
- Expected Hours: 1–10 hours per week
- Compensation: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour depending on class size. One on one classes pay $26 per hour,



one on two classes pay $28 per hour and classes with three to seven students pay $30 per hour.
- Lesson Settings: 50 Ottawa St. South, Kitchener.
- Availability: Primary scheduling falls on weekday evenings and weekend hours. Teachers can pick which class times they can commit to.
