Pay: $17.00 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: Approximately 35–40 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends

Sole to Soul is a Calgary-based specialty footwear retailer carrying premium comfort, lifestyle, technical and orthopedic footwear from some of the world’s leading footwear brands.

We’re looking for a strong salesperson who wants more than simply working a retail shift. The right candidate will become highly knowledgeable about footwear, fitting, fashion, product technologies and eventually more specialized areas such as orthopedic footwear and fitting.

There is significant chance to develop within Sole to Soul for someone who demonstrates robust sales ability, initiative, reliability and leadership potential.

The Role

As a Footwear Sales Specialist, your primary responsibility is providing an exceptional customer experience and driving sales. However, everyone at Sole to Soul also participates in the day-to-day operation and presentation of the store.

Responsibilities include

- Providing knowledgeable, confident and friendly customer service
- Understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate footwear
- Working toward individual and store sales goals
- Learning the features, technologies, materials and fit of the brands we carry
- Developing strong footwear fitting skills
- Learning about comfort and orthopedic footwear and recognizing when customers may require more specialized assistance
- Staying current with footwear trends, fashion and new product
- Receiving, unpacking and organizing incoming inventory




- Restocking the sales floor and maintaining proper size runs
- Ensuring displays and merchandising are maintained to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean, organized and professional store workplace
- Assisting with inventory counts, transfers and general stock management
- Working closely with management and the rest of the sales team
- Taking initiative and finding productive work during quieter periods
- Participating in product-knowledge training provided by Sole to Soul and our brand partners
- Developing toward additional responsibilities, leadership and potentially management

- A strong salesperson who genuinely enjoys working with customers
- Experienced in retail, sales or customer service
- Confident, personable and professional
- Interested in footwear, fashion and premium brands
- Interested in learning the technical side of footwear and fitting
- Reliable and able to work independently without constant direction
- Detail-oriented and willing to participate in all aspects of retail operations
- Comfortable receiving inventory, stocking shelves and maintaining displays
- A robust team player
- Coachable and eager to develop new skills
- Looking for stable, longer-term employment and opportunities to grow




- Available for a flexible retail schedule, including evenings and weekends

Previous footwear experience is an asset but is not required. We are willing to provide extensive training to the right person. Compensation & Growth

Starting wage: $17.00/hour depending on experience and qualifications.
