Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Production Associate to join our team in Canada, based in [City]. This role focuses on the packaging and handling of meat products in a temperature-controlled (cool) environment, ensuring all products meet our high standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Package meat products accurately and efficiently according to company standards.
- Ensure proper labeling, sealing, and handling of all packaged items.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the production and packaging areas.
- Follow all food safety and workplace safety protocols.
- Operate and monitor packaging equipment; report or troubleshoot minor issues when needed.
- Work in a cool/temperature-controlled environment to preserve product quality.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
- Assist in training current staff on packaging procedures and safety standards.
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the production process.
Qualifications
- Experience in food production, packaging, or a related field is an asset.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Comfortable working in a cool environment for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Food safety certification is an asset (not required).
