ABOUT OUR COMPANY:

- Baxter’s Bakery is a fast growing, family owned and operated, BRC certified commercial bakery situated in picturesque Cobourg, Ontario.
- The Baxter family has been in the bakery business since 2005 and take pride in their delicious hand-crafted bakery items with brands such as "Baxter's Bakery" and "Quinn's Baking Co". Current production includes Swiss Rolls, loaves, muffins and cookies, butter tarts and squares.
- Our mandate is simple: to produce high quality safe products for the food service and retail markets with our team members of the UFCW local 175.
- The current rotating working shifts allow for a better work/life balance (7am to 3pm, 11am to 7pm).
- We are currently expanding our team with entry level roles available in various departments such as production & packaging.

TRAINING & SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

- Food safety and health & safety training provided upon hire.
- Mandatory safety footwear, yearly allowance provided.
- Uniforms and PPE provided.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels, and postings in English effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Must work with others in a team-oriented team atmosphere.




- Perform various general bakery tasks such preparing products for baking and/or packaging while ensuring overall quality standards are met.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Team Leaders/ Production Manager.
- Adhere to production schedules by producing efficiently and on time while maintaining a high standards of food safety and quality.
- Practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety guidelines.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Stand for extended period of time; involves repetitive motions.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
