Shews Contracting Inc. is looking for a reliable, hardworking labourer to join our growing team. Previous construction experience is helpful but not required—we are looking for someone who is dependable, takes direction well, and genuinely wants to learn.

Responsibilities

- Assist skilled workers with repairs, maintenance, and renovation projects
- Load, unload, and move tools and materials
- Complete demolition, cleanup, and site preparation
- Perform basic painting, patching, landscaping, and general labour
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Help with other tasks as directed

- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Comfortable performing physical work and lifting materials
- Skilled and respectful around clients and tenants




- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Able to travel to job sites throughout the mid- and South Vancouver Island area
- Construction or maintenance experience is an asset but not required
