Responsibilities
- Operate and calibrate geospatial sensors, including LiDAR, photogrammetry, or other spatial data collection devices, ensuring optimal performance.
- Collect high-quality spatial data in diverse field conditions, adhering to project specifications and safety protocols.
- Utilize GIS software such as ArcGIS to process, analyze, and visualize collected data for project insights.
- Manage geospatial datasets within databases and CAD platforms like AutoCAD and Data Management Systems to maintain data integrity.
- Support the integration of sensor outputs into comprehensive GIS projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency across datasets.
- Collaborate with engineering, surveying,
or construction teams to interpret spatial data and provide technical support during project execution.
- Document procedures, maintain detailed logs of data collection activities, and prepare reports for project review and quality assurance.
Skills
- Proficiency with GIS software such as ArcGIS and experience with CAD tools like AutoCAD for spatial data editing and mapping.
- Strong understanding of geospatial data collection techniques using sensors like LiDAR or similar technologies.
- Construction experience is highly desirable to understand project environments and safety requirements.
- Knowledge of data management principles, including organizing large datasets within databases or GIS platforms.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot geospatial sensors in outdoor or challenging environments.
- Familiarity with data analysis workflows involving GIS tools and spatial databases.
