As a Geotechnician at Fladgate Exploration, you will provide support to Geologists in all aspects of a project, including collecting, tracking and analyzing data. Depending on the project, your duties may include:
- Collecting field data with QGIS or equivalent
- Core cutting
- Measuring core boxes
- Moving core
- Taking RQD measurements
- Tracking samples cut and updating spreadsheets
Qualifications and Experience
- A demonstrated commitment to safety, workplace, and community
- Comfort and experience working in the field and using GPS or compass to navigate
- Able to perform and communicate effectively with coworkers
- Experience in a labour position preferably in exploration
- Ability to maintain an organized workspace
- Experience working in a remote camp/shared living
You will be staying onsite, in a camp environment close to Thunder Bay while working. Rotations will be flexible based on personal need. All living expenses are covered by Fladgate while you are on site. Must provide references.
