Geoterra IRS is seeking a qualified Silviculture Surveyor to join our forestry services team in Prince George, British Columbia.
This field-based position will support silviculture surveys and related forestry programs throughout the B.C. Interior.

Key Responsibilities Complete regeneration delay, stocking, free-growing, and other silviculture surveys in accordance with current B.C. procedures and project requirements.
Collect accurate field data, assess forest health and site factors, and confirm survey-unit stratification.
Compile survey results, prepare maps and field documentation, and support clear, defensible recommendations.
Perform quality assurance on survey data and deliverables before submission.
Coordinate with project managers, clients, and field crews while meeting safety, schedule, and quality expectations.
Preferred Qualifications Accredited Silviculture Surveyor designation in British Columbia is preferred; candidates working toward accreditation may be considered. At least one field season of experience completing regeneration delay, stocking, or free-growing surveys is preferred.
Knowledge of B.C. silviculture survey procedures, stocking standards, forest health, and applicable forestry practices.
Experience collecting, compiling, and quality-checking field data using GPS, tablets, GIS applications, and forestry software.
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and ability to work safely and independently in remote terrain.
Strong navigation, observation, communication, organization, and report-writing skills.
Compensation $25-$30 per hr. plus overtime at time and a half.
