Bird is hiring an HSE Coordinator in Halifax to monitor safety compliance and manage the Bird Safety Program. Your expertise will drive safety improvements and worker training initiatives. In this role, you’ll apply over five years of field safety experience to support project safety requirements.
You'll assist in safety-related investigations and training while ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations. Your leadership will play a crucial part in defining a safe working workplace. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage workers’ safety compliance and performance
- Conduct regular safety inspections of project sites
- Lead safety orientations and training sessions
- Document incidents, violations, and resolutions
- Support the administration of the COR program Requirements:
- At least 5 years of construction safety experience
- Certification as CHSO or NCSO mandatory
- Relevant HSE education is beneficial
- Exceptional mentoring and motivational skills
