Five Pillars Care is a locally owned home care company dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized, and culturally aligned care to seniors and individuals who wish to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable individual to provide one-on-one care for a client in the Spruce Grove area. We welcome both experienced caregivers and those who are newer to the field. If you are caring, patient, reliable, and have a genuine passion for supporting seniors, we would love to hear from you.

Position Details

Location: Spruce Grove AB

Hours: Approximately 12 hours per week to start

Schedule:

- Tuesday and Thursdays

The schedule may be flexible, depending on the right candidate.

About the Role

This position involves providing compassionate and consistent care to a senior client. We are looking for someone who is caring, dependable, and comfortable taking an active role in the client’s day-to-day needs, including assisting with getting dressed, toileting, companion care, meal preparation and maintaining a clean and comfortable home environment.

Fluency in Hindi is required for this position, as clear and comfortable communication with the client is an important part of providing personalized care.

Please note - the client does have a dog, so the individual hired must be comfortable with dogs.

Caregiver must also be able to drive, as the location is not on a bus route.

Responsibilities

- Assist with personal care as needed




- Monitor and report any changes in the client’s physical or cognitive condition
- Provide companionship and meaningful engagement throughout each visit
- Assist with housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
- Assist with preparing and cooking culturally appropriate meals based on the client’s preferences
- Communicate professionally with family members and the Five Pillars Care team
- Complete required documentation accurately and promptly
- Follow all health, safety, and infection prevention protocols

Qualifications
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search required
- Health Care Aide Certificate
- Compassionate, patient, dependable, and reliable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and confidently in a client’s home
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
