Heavy-Duty Equipment MechanicJob OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate has strong electrical diagnostic abilities and deep hands-on experience with brake systems, routine maintenance, and powertrain components.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical issues and wiring faults using traditional and computerized diagnostic tools.
- Brake Systems: Perform complete brake overhauls, including changing brakes, brake chambers, and slack adjusters.
- Powertrain & Drivetrain Repair: Diagnose and replace powertrain components, including U-joints, differential seals, clutches, and transmissions.
- Routine Maintenance: Perform routine oil changes, fluid flushes,
and comprehensive preventative maintenance inspections.
- Wheel & Suspension Service: Replace wheel seals and service wheel ends safely and efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized shop environment and strictly adhere to all workplace safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic or Diesel Technician.
- Strong proficiency in reading electrical schematics and diagnosing electrical faults.
- Solid mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty brake systems and powertrain components.
- Ability to operate standard shop tools and diagnostic software safely.
- Self-motivated with robust problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Pay: $18.25-$35.00 per hour
