Job Title: Host/Hostess/Support

Location: Big Swell Westcoast Eatery – Victoria, BC

Job Type: Part-Time & Full-Time Available (Days, Evenings & Weekends)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Host / Support team member who can manage the front door while assisting the floor team during service. This role is critical to controlling flow, setting the tone for guests, & keeping service running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

· Greet guests promptly & professionally

· Manage waitlists & seating flow efficiently

· Answer phones & handle takeout or guest inquiries

· Maintain clean & organized entrance & host stand

· Assist servers with bussing, resetting tables, & running food when needed





· Monitor dining room flow & communicate with kitchen & service staff

· Support overall team during busy periods

Requirements:

· Strong communication & people skills

· Ability to stay organized & composed in a fast-paced environment

· Friendly, professional, & confident demeanor

· Ability to multitask & prioritize effectively

· Reliable & punctual

· Previous restaurant experience is an asset, but not required

Schedule:

· Flexible shifts (morning, daytime, & evening availability preferred)

· Weekend availability required

Compensation:

· Hourly wage: $18.25–$19.50/hr

· Tip-out participation

· Summer season bonus program (May – September)

· Full day shift: 100% discount on staff meals

· 50% discount on staff meals when off
