Become a Housing Support Worker with Dixon Hall, providing essential support for clients transitioning to stable housing. Work Monday to Friday and make a meaningful impact in your community. In this full-time position, you will report to the Manager of Supportive Housing Services.
Your role focuses on assisting clients in their transition to long-term housing and maintaining stability.
Key skills required include crisis intervention, advocacy, and robust organizational capabilities. Key Responsibilities:
- Support clients with housing transition plans
- Conduct home visits and connect clients to resources
- Advocate with landlords and service providers
- Organize community-building activities and events
- Maintain documentation of client interactions and progress Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in social services or equivalent
- Experience with homelessness or housing challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of homelessness issues in Toronto
