About the Position

Darrick Davidson Heating, Cooling & Duct Cleaning is looking for an Indoor Air Quality Technician / Duct Cleaning Specialist to take ownership of one of our dedicated duct cleaning trucks.

This is not intended to be just another hourly technician position.

We are looking for someone who wants to run their truck like their own business within our business. You will be responsible for providing professional duct cleaning and indoor air quality services, taking excellent care of our customers, maintaining your truck and equipment, and identifying opportunities where we may be able to further help the homeowner.

Your performance can directly increase your earnings through performance pay, bonuses, spiffs and qualified lead opportunities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your primary responsibility will be running a dedicated duct cleaning and indoor air quality truck.

Responsibilities include

- Complete residential duct cleaning services
- Operate and maintain professional duct cleaning equipment
- Perform dryer vent cleaning and other indoor air quality services
- Inspect HVAC systems and indoor air quality conditions while in the home
- Educate homeowners about what you find without using high-pressure sales tactics
- Present available service options when appropriate
- Identify opportunities involving filtration, UV systems, HVAC equipment, maintenance and other home-comfort products
- Generate qualified leads for our Comfort Advisor/HVAC team
- Take before-and-after photos and properly document each job
- Maintain a clean, organized and qualified truck
- Keep equipment and tools in excellent condition




- Follow company procedures and safety standards
- Provide customers with an exceptional experience from arrival through completion
- Help build repeat business, referrals and 5-star reviews

Performance-Based Compensation We want employees who perform well to have the opportunity to earn more.

Compensation will include

Hourly base wage PLUS Performance-based pay PLUS Bonuses and spiffs

- Leads that result in completed equipment sales

- Able to work physically, including lifting equipment, using stairs and working around residential HVAC systems

Previous duct cleaning, HVAC, home-service or sales experience is an asset, but attitude,



reliability and willingness to learn are extremely important. A valid driver’s licence and clean driving record are required.

This Role Is Different

We don’t want someone who simply shows up, cleans ducts and goes home.

We want someone who can become the Indoor Air Quality Specialist for their customers.

When you enter a home, you may be the first person from our company who sees an aging furnace, poor filtration, a dirty dryer vent, indoor air quality concerns or another problem we can help solve.

Your job isn’t to pressure the homeowner.

Your job is to notice, educate and create the opportunity for the appropriate member of our team to help them.

That means your duct cleaning truck becomes more than a service truck — it becomes a lead engine for the entire company.
