Your role as a full-time instructor will be supported through instructional materials and ongoing employer-provided training. This will include a requisite Adult Teaching and Learning program. This initiative will develop our instructors professionally while ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all students.
This full-time instructor position also requires occasional use of own vehicle for practicum monitoring of students and tours of agencies within Prince Albert and the area. This position will require a familiarity of agencies with in Prince Albert and area who provide services and supports to individuals who have a disability as a task assigned to this instructor will be to set up practicum experiences for students.

1. Prepare and deliver lessons, lectures, and demonstrations for educational purposes to students and/or staff as may be required.
2. Select, design, update, and/or construct training aids/materials.
3. Supervise students in classrooms, labs, tours, work placements, etc., following institute, trade, and safety guidelines.
4. Evaluate and record student progress with the use of assessments, assignments, and observations in accordance with program and institute guidelines.
5. Be flexible and responsive to learner needs through the use of appropriate instructional methodologies.
6. Manage the classroom to ensure an optimum learning environment.
7. Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values,
beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
8. Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.
9. Respond to curriculum/course demands and make necessary adjustments according to learner needs such as adult learning principles.
10. Develop recent curriculum as needed. Maintain and up-date online curriculum materials as part of instructor duties.
11. Be reflective of and responsive to accommodation of special learning needs including equity groups and diverse learners.
12. Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in working experience.
13. Engage in professional development opportunities to keep current with employer and educational requirements.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)
1. Recognized relevant four-year degree (Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, Bachelor of Education Degree) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
2. Two years recent and relevant work experience working with services to individuals with varying abilities.
3. Effective interpersonal skills.
4. Effective communication skills.
5. Effective instructional ability.
6. Able to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
7. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
