Job Title: Intermediate Draftsperson
Location: Markham, ON (In-Office)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Lesley Wong
Compensation: Based on experience $52,000 – $58,000 per year

Position Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate Draftsperson with a strong background in AutoCAD and a passion for hospitality design to join our dynamic, collaborative, and fun-loving team. This role will support the design team in producing accurate and detailed construction drawings, design documentation, and project coordination materials for high-end hotel projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update 2D technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, RCPs, and millwork details
- Translate design concepts, sketches, and mark-ups into construction-ready drawing sets
- Prepare drawing packages for permits, tendering, and construction
- Coordinate with consultants and contractors to incorporate technical feedback into drawings
- Maintain drawing standards and ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
- Support site verification and create as-built drawings as needed
- Participate in internal design reviews and respond to redline revisions in a timely manner
- Collaborate closely with the design team to support project timelines and deliverables
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Architectural Technology, Interior Design Technology, or related field
- 3–5 years of drafting experience, preferably in the hospitality, commercial, or interior design sectors
- Proficient in AutoCAD with a strong understanding of drawing standards and layer management
- Familiarity with Building Codes across Canada (US a plus) and hotel construction requirements is a strong asset
- Experience with millwork detailing and custom furniture drawings is preferred
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
