About the Opportunity micro1 is seeking experienced Computer User Support Specialists to contribute to projects involving technical troubleshooting, IT support operations, system diagnostics, and user support workflows.
This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in hardware and software troubleshooting, operating systems, networking, and technical support. You'll apply your knowledge to analyze support scenarios, evaluate solutions, and contribute high-quality technical insights.
Your expertise will help improve the quality and effectiveness of technical support processes while supporting the development of next-generation technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues across a variety of environments.
- Troubleshoot operating system issues involving Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms.
- Analyze and resolve network connectivity problems, including TCP/IP, VPN, and DNS-related issues.
- Document troubleshooting procedures, resolutions, and user interactions within ticketing systems.
- Review and evaluate technical support workflows for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Provide detailed technical explanations and recommendations for resolving complex issues.
- Identify recurring support trends and suggest process improvements.
- Create structured documentation and knowledge resources to support operational efficiency.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
1.
Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or technical support roles.
2. Strong expertise in hardware and software troubleshooting.
3. Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
4. Experience supporting Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
5. Proficiency using ticket management and service desk platforms.
6. Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple support tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing Tier 2 or Tier 3 technical support.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL, or similar credentials.
- Experience supporting enterprise environments and remote workforces.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and endpoint management tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and access management.
- Experience creating technical documentation, knowledge bases, or training materials.
Compensation
